General Surgery
The surgical suite at Pet Haven Animal Hospital is spacious and well equipped.
While general surgery is used in cases of emergencies such as traumatic injuries or
life- threatening tumors (e.g. ruptured and bleeding tumors of the spleen), it also
includes preventative medicine such as spaying and neutering. Additional, surgery is
often an invaluable tool in making a diagnosis when other non-invasive methods do
not provide sufficient information. This is clearly the case for surgical biopsies for
the diagnosis of various cancers.
