Oral Surgery

Oral surgery includes but is not limited to:

• Tooth extractions
• Gingivectomy: resection of excessive gum tissue that is enveloping the teeth
• Biopsy of suspicious tissues in the oral cavity
• Fixation/repair of some types of jaw fractures (usually of the lower jaw). These fractures often occur as a result of weakened bone structure that is consequent to severe periodontal disease.
